We are setting up our second MBPS site in Chengdu and is planning to become operational in the middle of year 2010.

Chengdu is a city of 12 million people, which is rapidly becoming a major financial services, software and BPO hub in Western China.  Chengdu was selected as a location for our site primarily for its availability of talent pool, business friendly operating environment and other favorable economic attributes. This selection adds geographical diversity and allows MBPS to better serve Manulife’s Chinese-speaking businesses worldwide.

In February 2010, we entered into an office lease that ultimately allows us to expand to over 10,000 square meters in Tianfu Software Park, Chengdu.  MBPS Chengdu is planned to expand to 2000 staff in 5 years and offer varieties of services to companies within Manulife Financial group.
